About this Scholarship:
The Reverend Dr. Robert G. and Mrs. Amanda B. Murray Scholarship Ministry (“The Murray Scholarship”) was established in 2017 by the Pastor’s Anniversary Committee under the leadership of the First Baptist Church Diaconate. The Murray Scholarship is a church supported ministry.
This scholarship was set up to honor Pastor Robert Murray and Mrs. Amanda Murray and to recognize their life-long commitment to education. The primary purpose of the Murray Scholarship is to assist young people in pursuit of higher education.
The Murray scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior annually. Scholarship award will be made payable to the educational institution and sent directly to the designated school of attendance. Scholarship money may be used for tuition, books, or room and board.
Scholarship applications can be obtained from the First Baptist Church office (757-622-6701) or online at www.firstbaptistnorfolk.org. Completed applications must be submitted no later than March 31, 2022.
